Our summer camp program takes place on the two-acre school grounds. It provides a balance of activites including, but not limited to: nature projects/experiences, story time, music, creative movement, water and sand play, and crafts. Summer at Briarcliff Nursery School allows students to stretch their minds and bodies while enjoying and exploring the world around them.
Our camp program is available for current and future BNS students only.
At BNS we respect children’s natural impulse to play and explore and provide children with ample time to engage in active play, be creative, and investigate their world! This summer, we will explore nature in many different ways. We will bring nature into the classroom to sort, experiment with, and observe. We will spend time engaging in water play, digging in sand, and exploring the plants, animals, and rocks in our amazing outdoor space.
Our summer program is designed for children, ages 2-5, who are current or future BNS students. Children without previous experience at Briarcliff Nursery School will have shortened sessions during the first few days to acclimate gradually. Our goal is for each child to separate comfortably and be eager to return each day. A parent or caregiver is required to stay until the teacher feels the separation process is complete. A phase-in schedule for new BNS students will be sent to you prior to the start of the summer program.
TODDLER AND ME PROGRAM:
BNS offers a Toddler & Me program designed to offer exploration in music, movement/rhythm, art, nursery rhymes, finger plays, story time, snack time and outdoor water play for parents with toddlers (age 18 mos. to 2 years).
